What can I offer you as a doula?
During the Pregnancy
- 3 antenatal visits structured around your and your family's needs
- recommendation of relevant resources
- hire of the rebozo, belly wrap and/or vaginal steaming stool
- general well-being support including herbs, massage, rebozo and aromatherapy
- I am accessible by phone at any point in your pregnancy and postpartum.
During Labour and Birth
- I am on call exclusively for you from two weeks before your due date until your baby is born.
- mental, physical and emotional support
- nourishment
- offer comfort tools (like aromatherapy, massage, rebozo, change of position/place) if required
- to take a few photos if you wanted
- to maintain a sense of privacy
- to support skin-to-skin and the first feed if desired
- I do my best to keep your environment as calm, cosy and undisturbed as possible no matter where you give birth.
In Postpartum
- one visit shortly after the birth to help you settle and find what works for your family
- practical support with establishing breastfeeding, babywearing and safe cosleeping if required
- one appointment after about a month in postpartum to debrief the birth and the parenthood experience so far
What is the cost of my doula care?
Depending on your circumstances and affordability, I offer a sliding scale of £800 - £1200. Additional travel and parking costs may apply.
